poem - tulips

in a moment i am yours,

was it the glint in your freckle-kissed cheeks,
was it your ombre silver mane, that wild waterfall
was it your cascading kindness and ease of generosity
with which you invited in-

to my dream, realized in you
Surreal and right, somehow
in another dimension, sitting on your rattan rug,
gazing at my, most familiar, skyscrapers beyond
the glowing, wilting tulips
